A comment on vanilla muffins and snow

One of my favorite things to do recently is to bake different recipes of vegan muffins that I find on the internet. Today I baked vanilla ones and they turned out amazing! I've got four recipes so far. Especially since it's been snowing a lot, it makes the kitchen feel warm and smelling of vanilla! Pure bliss! I don't understand how people think that the snow is depressing. White (admittedly, cold) fluffy flakes are falling from the heavens and they cover everything. The trees, the birdbath, the bushes, the fake mushroom, fences, sidewalks, everything. (It's so quiet out there). I have fully accepted this weather for what it is, by the way. Snow in spring? Okay fine. I accept this unusual weather for what it is. Not even upset and I got muffins so it's a win-win to me.

CAT Poetry

 black, winding
stretching, lying
soft and distant
close yet far
companion of ease
touching you
licking and purring- ever content
gleaming eyes, observant, watchful
curious and elegant- present

I can put novels on the back of my Polaroids as descriptions of the photo and no one can stop me. I'll take photos of leaves and my family.

Constant Fixations

I remember liking the planet saturn for its rings (and I think about it still- sometimes) and now its neptune for its blueness and I like the atlantic ocean better than the caribbean (stronger) and I used to think about the stars, until I started looking at the clouds and I used to like seahorses in grade seven, then jellyfish this past year and now its octopuses (orange ones). I have constant fixations and I want to relive them all.

Maybe everything will be okay

If I had to sum up the weather we've been currently experiencing, I'd use this quote:

"It's March. I open the window and spring floats in, kisses me on the nose. I have waited so long- and now the Sun is washing the world in yellow, and now the seeds sprout green in the dirt, and now the trees are budding and ready to bloom- and it was all so worth it."
